Diasporic Music pays tribute to Alprentice "Bunchy" Carter who would have been 71 on October 12th, 2013. Kumasi of the Black August Organizing Committee will discuss the life and times of Carter. When Carter was assassinated on January 17, 1969, Huey P. Newton asked Kumasi to replace Carter as the Minister of Defense of the Southern California Chapter of the Black Panther Party.
