The Black Power slogan, Part 1

The slogan "Black Power" transformed the struggle for civil rights into an anti-imperialist movement.
Part 1: In this first part, Chairman Omali Yeshitela explains the material basis which gave rise to the emergence of the black civil rights movement in the fifties. This movement adopted the philosophy of non violence in face of the North American government's violence in Korea, Vietnam , Cuba and elsewhere.

Also discussed is the role of young people in the mobilisation of African people in the U.S.
