SummaryBakari Olatunji, Oakland branch president of the InPDUM, and Wendy Snyder, Oakland chair of Uhuru Solidarity Movement, will discuss the police counterinsurgency against African and Mexican people in the Bay area of California. Within weeks of receiving $7.7 million in additional funding, Oakland police murdered two people, 71 year-old African artist Casper Banjo, and 15 year-old Jose Luis Buenrostro-Gonzalez, in a 5 day period! We will also get an update on the recent Campaign to Defeat Patrick McCullough, a strong mobilization by the Uhuru Movement to expose this neo-colonial African who, 3 years after shooting 15 year-old Melvin McHenry in the back, is running for City Council. Olatunji and Snyder will discuss how the Uhuru Movement is working to push back the police attacks on the African and Mexican community and smash neocolonialism!
