SummaryDiasporic Music interviews Carolann Wright Parks, 9th Gerneration African Canadian. Born in Beechville Nova Scoita, she spent 15 years in Toronto Ontario, ran for Mayor of the city of Toronto in 1988, and for the NDP in 1991. She returned to her native Nova Scotia in 1994, to take on the role of Executive Director of the North End Community Health Centre in Halifax. She is the now the Coordinating Director of the Restorative Inquiry, Nova Scotia Home for Coloured Children, a 21/2 year process to explore the issues the resulted in the abused of residentes from the 50's - 80's.
