SummaryIn light of the 43rd anniversary of the assassination of Fred Hampton Sr., Uhuru Solidarity Movement organizers Jesse Nevel and Johann Bedingfield will commemorate the African revolutionary martyr and Chairman of the Chicago chapter of the Black Panther Party who was brutally assassinated by the FBI on December 4, 1969. This program will address the history of the US governmentà ¢ s counterinsurgency war against the African community that rages on to this day as seen in the police murder s of Lovelle Mixon, Oscar Grant, Alan Blueford, and countless others. Comrades Jesse and Johann will also raise up the recent victory of the International Peopleà ¢ s Democratic Uhuru Movementà ¢ s campaign to free Bakari Olatunji, a veteran Uhuru Movement organizer who was attacked and arrested by the Oakland police. Finally, this program will put out The Call written by APSC Chairwoman Penny Hess for white people to join in solidarity with African resistance by attending the January 6-8, 2013 international conference of the African Peopleà ¢ s Solidarity Committee, à ¢ African Resistance, White Solidarity.à ¢
