1st hour: Hear an historic discussion between African Socialist International Chairman Omali Yeshitela and Palestinian Parliament member Qays Abdul Kareem, also known as Abu Leila. Comrade Abu Leila is a founding member of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a secular socialist organization, created in 1969, which in 2006 was one of a group of independent parties that won approximately 10% of the vote in elections for the nominally independent Palestinian state's governing body. Abu Leila gives an in-depth review of the history of the Zionist aggression against Palestine, providing background for the current Israeli assault on Gaza.
2nd hour: As international condemnation of Amsterdam's annual Sinter Klass parade - a racist spectacle of white people in black face as 'Zwarte (black) Pete' enacting a white nationalist story of colonial plunder - heightens, we bring you a conversation that Chairman Yeshitela held on November 28th, 2004 with Peggy Burke, an African activist from the Netherlands.
