In this historic speech to an African audience in Birminham England, African Socialist International Chairman Omali Yeshitela dispels the misinformation disseminated by corporate media about the conditions of Africans in the U.S. following the military defeat of the Black Revolution of the 1960s. Delivered on April 1, 1983, this presentation explains the economic and political forces at work in the oppression and exploitation of the African working class and calls for revolutionary unity among Africans worldwide to build the African Socialist International. As we broadcast this speech in 2010, we are preparing for the 5th Congress of the African People's Socialist Party and the African Socialist International has taken root on 4 continents including Africa. This speech is indicative of the far-sighted vision of our Chairman Omali Yeshitela.
