This week UhuruRadio.com presented a special broadcast of excerpts from the African Liberation Day events that occurred in Washington, D.C. in the U.S. on May 26, 2007. This presentation of the African People's Socialist Party sponsored event includes presentations from Pam Africa from the International Concerned Friends and Family of Mumia Abu Jamal, a representative of Malcolm X Grassroots on the Black Liberation Army 8, Kobina Bantushango of InPDUM on the Liberty City 7, the parents of Stanley Grant Phanor (one of the Liberty City 7), Shaquanda Cotton (imprisoned and sentenced to 7 years in Paris, Texas for pushing a school hall monitor in self-defense) and her family, and Paul Sankara (brother of Thomas Sankara, assassinated revolutionary leader of Burkina Faso).
