Hear African People's Socialist Party Chairman Omali Yeshitela's keynote speech to the National Conference of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement, held on May 2, 2009 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Chairman reviews the history of the Black Power movement from the 1960s through today, and calls on the audience to take a stand on the right side of history during this current, deep crisis of U.S. imperialism. Explaining the conditions of the African community in plain and urgent terms, Chairman Omali challenges white people to look beyond the concept of charity and to work in genuine solidarity with the movement that is changing the world.
