From December 2-9, 2012, the Marcus Garvey Legacy Cruise traveled throughout the Caribbean, stopping to observe the Olmec statues in Mexico and to visit with the family of Marcus Garvey in Jamaica. Hear a presentation by African Socialist International Chairman Omali Yeshitela, followed by conversation with Cruise participants on December 5, 2012. The Chairman provides a brief introduction to the Uhuru Movement in its historical context, speaks on the historical presence of Africans in Mexico, and discusses the strategy of the African Socialist International in today's era of imperialism in crisis.
