African People's Socialist Party Chairman Omali Yeshitela served as People's Advocate at the First World Tribunal on Reparations for Black People in the U.S., held in November 1982 in New York City. This is his opening statement to the historic trial, which, based on International Laws, puts the U.S. government on trial for its treatment of black people in the U.S.
