African People's Socialist Party Chairman Omali Yeshitela's (then known as Joseph Waller) speech to over 300 people in San Francisco, California on February 18, 1978. The Chairman's analysis from that period holds the seeds of the Party's current work to consolidate a national identity for African people worldwide. This presentation exposes the ideological aggression waged against African independence by the white left movement following the defeat of the Black Revolution of the 1960s by the U.S. government and was pivotal in defining the correct role of white people in solidarity with the African anti-colonial struggle. It reveals the critical role of Chairman Omali and the APSP in keeping the African liberation movement alive and self-determined in spite of the U.S. government counterinsurgency program to destroy it.
