December 4th was the 43nd anniversary of the U.S government assassination of Black Panther leader Fred Hampton in Chicago. In his honor, we bring you African People's Socialist Party Chairman Omali Yeshitela's keynote presentation at the February 25, 1995 "Tribute to African Martyrs and Leaders" program, which was held at 'Lil Bobby Hutton Park auditorium in Oakland, California. The Chairman talks about the civil rights and Black Power movements in the U.S. and chronicles the growing stance of African resistance emerging from a period of defeat, while rallying the crowd to rebuild the African liberation movement.
