2012-04-04 View online at www.inpdum.org! This Week on African Resistance Now! Live from New Orleans, La From Katrina to Killer Kops: New Orleans STILL Under Siege! ... InPDUM has always understood that the U.S. government used Katrina as a weapon of mass destruction to uproot the entire African community of 9th ward and other surrounding areas - making way for white gentrifiers and major corporate entities to take over our community. During and since Katrina, the police repression of the African community has been off the chain. At the same time, the poverty of the African community has only deepened, creating the most violent conditions our people have faced in that city since slavery. Since this year has started N.O. has had 27 horizontal murders and a nearly equal amount of police murders. The African middle class petty bourgeois has used the violence created by the state as a justification to bring in the National Guard to occupy the African communities of New Orleans. There have been various petty bourgeois led civic and religious groups rallying behind the state rep Autin Badon (who made the first proposal from senate floor). InPDUM understands that the solution to poverty and violence within the African community is economic development. The car jackings, murders and overall violence would not be taking place were it not for the government's economic quarantine of the black community.

2012-03-28 To view live go to www.inpdum.org! In 2000, a young African man named Timothy Thomas was murdered by the Cincinnati Police Department in the Over the Rhine section of Cincinnati. This murder sparked a rebellion in Cincinnati that lasted several days. To stop the people from rising up again, the U.S. government has paid off a number of African petty bourgeois poverty pimps to start up "not for profit" programs in the community. At the same time, the U.S. government has increased its investment in the gentrification of Over the Rhine. The same white people who fled the inner city in the 1960's to escape the Black Power Revolution are now returning to the city to re-impose direct settler colonial rule on our community. This has only been made possible through the direct protection of the Cincinatti police department. Essentially, the police contain the African population in Over the Rhine to protect the white gentrifiers and the property they are stealing from us. This process is commonly known as gentrification. This is the context in which the police murder of Timothy Thomas and the brutalization and kidnapping of countless other Africans in Cincinnati and throughout the U.S. occur. InPDUM Cincinnati branch President Vanessa Sparks will be joined by a number of members of the African community in Over the Rhine to discuss the current situation, and develop resolutions for action. Tune in!

2012-03-21 BREAKING NEWS: Enjoli Mixon, sister of Lovelle Mixon, will be interviewed live tonight on ARN to discuss the police shooting of her brother. Dont miss this! View online at www.inpdum.org In the U.S., colonial violence and gentrification has once again reared its terroristic head in the form of the killing of Trayvon Martin - exposing the unity of the opportunistic white population and the U.S. colonial state under the leadership of the U.S. white ruling class. Trayvon's killer, a white man named Zimmerman, is walking the streets free. In central Africa forces like Yoweri Museveni (Uganda) and Paul Kagame (Rwanda) facilitate U.S. imperialism's theft of African resources while the campaign to capture Kony serves as a justification for more intense U.S. military occupation in that region. In Jamaica, 21 Africans were killed by the police in the first week of March alone. 45 Africans have been killed this year so far! Jamaica has a population of 2.7 million people - about the same size as Chicago. Meanwhile, the average African worker in Jamaica makes less than $600 per month in an economy controlled by U.S.imperialism. The police serve to repress this frustrated and starving population.
Stop the cycle of classification, medication and incarceration of African Youth!

2012-03-14 To view live go to inpdum.org. In Chicago, Black Boys make up 25% of students, while 57% are expelled. 6 and 7 year old children were handcuffed for talking in class. The terms ADHD, ODD, and APSD are common in most households. Parents are encouraged by psychiatrists and child study team members to give their children powerful psychotropic medication in order for them to behave in class. The truth is schools are preparing our children for prison. Due to harsh discipline practices at school and the disconnect between African children and the irrelevant educational curriculum they are exposed to, Black students are dropping out of high school at alarming rates. This increased dropout rate leads to the likelihood that these children will become involved in the criminal justice system. The Newark Local Organizing Committee of InPDUM will be interviewing two people who work within the system and discuss the ways they are trying to break the cycle of incarceration of our youth.

2012-03-07 View online at www.inpdum.org! This Week on African Resistance Now! "Stop the Theft of Black Homes, End Mortgage Foreclosures 'Re-Development' in the Black Community" We felt it was necessary to hold this event because of the crisis of gentrification that is impacting Black neighborhoods in DC and throughout the world - where our homes and property are being taken over by greedy, parasitic "re-developers", banks and the city itself. These forces often work with corrupt politicians in City Hall, who lobby for unfair real estate tax policy that serves the interest of the banks and the developers, while giving the city the ability to confiscate our homes. The African community suffers from this system. InPDUM DC Branch President Aaron Oneil will interview Kalfani Ture and Nella Peterson, both members of the communtiy, to provide some practical solutions and information to help the people fight exploitation by the system. InPDUM believes that African people must have the right to community control of housing and all other institutions in our community. We believe that only a government that is controlled by the African community will represent the interests of the African community.

2012-02-29 View online at www.inpdum.org. Free Fred Reio! Locked Up By the Internet Police For Showing a Rap Video on Youtube! Fred Reio is a young African man from St. Petersburg, FL. On Feb 6, 2012 Fred was arrested for posting a rap video he recorded that shows him holding fake guns. When his probation office saw the video on his facebook page they came to arrest him! The International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement (InPDUM) is organizing throughout the world in defense of Fred. We believe that his case is important because there are thousands for young brothers like him around the world. His case represents an attack by the U.S. government on our right to free speech. If they arrested Fred for putting a rap video on youtube they will try and do the same thing to us all. This week on African Resistance Now we will be joined by members of the committee to Free Fred Reio. They will discuss the details of his case. You don't want to miss it!

2012-02-15 View online at www.inpdum.org! Although the public housing system is put forth by the government as some type of welfare being provided for Black people the reality is that the U.S. government has lived off the welfare of the same people it holds captive in the projects. It is not a coincidence that men are not allowed to live with their wives and children under public housing policy. It is not a coincidence that, under the "one strike law", a family will be evicted from their homes if one of its members is ACCUSED (not convicted) of a felony charge. It is not a coincidence that African people are treated like less than humans by the U.S. (and European) public housing system.

2012-02-08 View live on inpdum.org! InPDUM President Diop Olugbala interviews former chairwoman of the Black Panther Party Elaine Brown about her experiences in the Party, the U.S. counterinsurgency program which targeted the movement, as well as the ongoing counterinsurgency against the African community - which includes the drug economy, prisons, govt. instigated violence amongst our youth, police occupation and neocolonial politicians. They also discuss the future of the resistance led by the Uhuru Movement. This is a special interview because it shows the continuity in the struggle for Black Power and socialism. As Huey P. Newton said in his last speech in 1989 at the Uhuru House in Oakland, "You may not have the Black Panther office but now you have the Uhuru House. You may not have the Black Panther Newspaper but now you have The Burning Spear newspaper...so they really haven't done anything by crushing one organization!" Don't miss this show!

The Ballot AND the Bullet! From DRC to Washington DC - Elections and the African Revolution
2:00:00 57Mb
Download   |   Play
2012-01-11 Discussion led by InPDUM President Diop Olugbala In 1963 Malcolm X made a speech called "The Ballot or the Bullet". He questioned whether Black people would win our freedom through election or armed struggle. The reality is that throughout the African world white power creates and controls elections as a way to keep the people from fighting for their true liberation. Right now in the Democratic Republic of Congo there is mass protest against the once U.S. backed Kabila who stole the recent election. But Kabila's opponent is another U.S. puppet! The International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement (InPDUM) understands that while the elections are controlled by white power they can be used as a platform through which we challenge white power on the question of public policy. This is why we ran Wali "Diop" Rahman for mayor against Nutter in Philadelphia. The only real candidate for the people in Congo, Philly or anywhere else is the candidate whose program represents the interests of the people - not the interests of white power. The only real freedom for African people will come about when we have seized state power (ie army, police, courts, prisons, etc) through which we can repress all foreign powers who aim to oppress and exploit African people. This episode of African Resistance Now takes on special significance as we enter the year 2012, marking the 40th anniversary of the APSP - a party founded with the mission of rebuilding and completing the Black Power Revolution of the 1960's. Through the next several episodes of ARN, InPDUM aims to win maximum participation in the APSP's upcoming plenary. If we are to liberate ourselves we must understand this question. Come to the next broadcast of African Resistance Now and participate in this discussion. Join InPDUM Today at inpdum.org!

2012-01-04 Discussion led by InPDUM President Diop Olugbala. What is a political party? What is the role of the party? The reality is that ALL political parties serve the interests of a social force, or class in society. The democratic and republican parties are both political parties that serve the interests of the white ruling class exclusively by carrying out colonial policies in the form of budget cuts, police containment and imperialist wars of aggression. At the same time, the African working class is in need of a political party which serves our selfish interests - to carry out a revolutionary program. The African People's Socialist Party (APSP) is such a party of these times. During the next episode of African Resistance Now we will discuss the historical role of the Revolutionary Party of the African working class. This show takes on special significance as we enter the year 2012, marking the 40th anniversary of the APSP - a party founded with the mission of rebuilding and completing the Black Power Revolution of the 1960's. Through the next several episodes of ARN, InPDUM aims to win maximum participation in the APSP's upcoming plenary. If we are to liberate ourselves we must understand this question. 2011-12-28 The African working class is in need of a political party that represents its selfish interests. The Black Panther Party was the political party of the African working class during the 1960's. Today, the International Peoples Democratic Uhuru Movement (InPDUM), led by the African Socialist International, is continuing the Panthers' legacy. Our task is to rebuild and complete the Black Power Revolution of the '60s. Tune into the next episode of African Resistance Now as InPDUM president Diop Olugbala leads a discussion on the role of the political party in the African Revolution. The discussion will be based on the document entitled "The History of the Black Proletarian Party", writtend by Chairman Omali Yeshitela.

2:00:00 57Mb
Download   |   Play
2011-12-21 Discussion led by InPDUM President Diop Olugbala: The State and ruling class media characterize Mumia as a cop killer who should be locked up for the rest of his life. At the same time, the State has denied Mumia his legal right to receive a trial at which evidence proving his innocence could be shown. Recently Philly District Attorney Seth Williams announced that he would rather see Mumia serve a life sentence without parole then to pursue a new trial for Mumia at which critical evidence could be presented. The International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement understands that the same cop who the State claims Mumia killed was part of an occupying army in the African community - responsible for carrying out a colonial policy of repression that results in rampant brutality and terror of our community everyday. The police have no legitimate authority over the African population. The court system justifies the police violence in our community while it condemns Africans who resist against the police violence. The police, prisons and courts are all instruments of the State. The fundamental objective of revolutionary struggle for African liberation is the seizure of State power. Come to the next broadcast of African Resistance Now and participate in this discussion. Join InPDUM Today at inpdum.org!

2011-12-07 International Democratic Uhuru Movements own President Diop leads a discussion entitled "How To Keep Agents and Provaceteurs Out of the Movement". We are in a time when imperialism is suffering a deep economic and political crisis throughout the world. Everyday we hear more about the crisis - mass rebellions against neo-colonial governments in the Middle East, the collapse of the euro and European banking system, Occupy Wall Street and the increasing resistance of African youth throughout the U.S. The Uhuru Movement, under the leadership of Chairman Omali Yeshitela, has solved many problems of security for our movement. Our ability to survive the counterinsurgency of the 1960's is evidence of this fact. If you are in Philly come out and be a part of the live studio audience!
