On July 29, 2012, African Socialist International Chairman Omali Yeshitela met with representatives of several organizations including the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, the All African People's Revolutionary Unification Party, the Onyx Organizing Committee and the Oscar Grant Foundation to build the Black is Back Coalition for Social Justice, Peace and Reparations (BIBC) on the West Coast. Chairman Omali presented the vision and background of the BIBC and discussed the organizational structure and process for joining.
