African People's Socialist Party Chairman Omali Yeshitela in Oakland, California on November 10, 1985 at an Uhuru House banquet to raise money for the case of Freddie Roberts. In this presentation, Chairman Omali explains the significance of Oakland as the birthplace of the Black Panther Party and the effects of COINTELPRO (the FBI's counterintelligence program) and neo-colonialism in setting back the African community's ability to continue the independence struggle to its victorious conclusion.
