A speech delivered by African People's Socialist Party Chairman Omali Yeshitela to the United Africa Movement in Harlem, New York on December 30, 2000. Chairman Omali begins the presentation by introducing the New York audience to the movement of African resistance in Florida. He then discusses the U.S. electoral system and the role of Jesse Jackson and Ron Brown in bringing African people back into the Democratic Party to secure the election of William Clinton in the 1990s.
