Kobina Bantushango and Chimurenga Waller will talk with Brenda Cherry, of Citizens for Racial Justice, in Paris, Texas regarding the case of Shaquanda Cotton, the teenage African girl who spent a year in a Texas prison for allegedly pushing a hall monitor. The local prosecutor is attempting to have her serve the remainder of her 7-year sentence. Ms. Cherry will talk about upcoming freedom week activities set for July 31 - August 4.
