Beyond Obama and the Black Misleadership Class - Glen Ford

Released Oct 9, 2010
Glen Ford, Executive Editor of BlackAgendaReport.com and representative of the Black is Back Coalition for Social Justice, Peace and Reparations, made this presentation on September 29, 2010 in St. Petersburg, Florida at "A Day in Solidarity with African People." The event, held by the African People's Solidarity Committee, was one in a series of events happening throughout the U.S. In this presentation, Ford talks about the struggle between two tendencies in the black community with one sector leading black people towards independence and the other, a misleadership class, that sells out the people at every turn. He explains that this misleadership class is in decline.

The Black is Back Coalition will be holding a rally and march on the White House on November 13 demanding an end to U.S. imperialist wars against oppressed peoples around the world and within U.S. borders. To find more information about that mobilization, go to www.blackisbackcoalition.org.
