Uhuru Video
Free Eric Oliver March and Rally mobilize support for African youth who beat back lynch mob

On July 7, 2012, Africans and others marched in Bronson, Florida in defense of Eric Oliver, an African teenager who was locked up on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after he defended his family and home from a white lynch mob. At the march, organized by the Eric Oliver Defense Committee and the International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement, the contrast was drawn between the case of Eric Oliver and that of Trayvon Martin, another young African who was chased and shot to death by George Zimmerman and whose case has gained national attention and support.
