Watch the AAPDEP Juneteenth Freedom and Music Festival

Released May 28, 2015

Check out the people's music in this video from the 2014 Juneteenth (Not yet Uhuru!) Freedom and Music Festival at the All African People's Development and Empowerment Project (AAPDEP) 5th Ward Community Garden in Houston, Texas. Led by the great Archie Bell of "Tighten-up" fame and the reggae band Idiginis who rocked the festival into the night time hours, and many more community groups, this video captures some of the excitement of Juneteenth 2014.

The Juneteenth Music and Freedom Festival is coming back to the 5th Ward Community Garden this year, Saturday June 20, 12-8pm. Archie Bell, Idiginis, Khalia K. Nice and a host of others will be back to make this an historical event.

AAPDEP's International Director, Dr. Aisha Fields will deliver the keynote address. For vending info contact Jackie at 832-647-3550 or 214-707-7309. See you there!

This video was produced by audio/visual technician, Danny Russo, who has done the past three outdoor festivals here in Houston for the All African People's Development and Empowerment Project (AAPDEP).
