Uhuru Solidarity Movement speaks at Occupy Oakland

Wendy Snyder of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement (USM) speaks at the Speak Out Against Police Brutality at Oscar Grant Plaza at Occupy Oakland on October 29, 2011. USM is an activist organization that works under the leadership of the African-led Uhuru Movement. Members organize solidarity and raise resources for the worldwide struggle of African people for control of African land and resources. USM understands that the only sustainable future for this planet and for all humanity lies in genuine solidarity with self-determination for African and all oppressed peoples, not in the continuation of imperialist war, plunder and hoarding scarce resources at the expense of others. USM stands for solidarity with the movement for justice, reparations and liberation for African working people who are transforming their conditions and the world - not charity which leaves the exploitative colonial relationship intact.
